limewire music searchHow do you search music on Limewire?

I just downloaded the new limewire yesterday. i searched an artist or song and nothing came up. it just took forever. and i'm still waiting.
If you're using version 4.10.5, all you need to do is the following:

1. Open LimeWire by clicking the icon on your desktop.
2. You might get a box suggesting you upgrade to LimeWire PRO. Just click "later" to get rid of the box or simply click the "x" in the corner to close it.
3. Click on the "Search" tab at the top of screen. (Has a little magnifying glass next to it!)
4. Now you're ready to search! Simply click on the "Audio" button and search using the criteria in the fields below that. You can search by title, limewire music search artist, album, genre... then click the "Search" button at the bottom after entering your preferences.

Then it's pretty easy from there. When you see the file you want, double-click it to download it.

WARNING: Be careful when you download stuff like music... the record execs have watchdogs out there collecting user data in an effort to sue folks for copyright infringement!

Happy Hunting!

make sure you're connected to the network. if the bars on the lower left hand side are red, than you're not connected. it should work if you are connected.
maybe ur computer cant handle the new limewire.
check if you are connected to limewire, and on the lower left hand side, limewire music searchyou should see like 5 bars, like cell phone serivce bars, make sure all are green, meaning you are fully connected. If you see all red or some are red, that means you are not connected or fully connected. Hope that helps.
you probably have a firewall issue. open your firewall and allow an exception.

or get bearshare. it doesn't seem to have as many problems like that
ok i have that and it's awsome so just go to search and then audio and put the song and artist in and press search at the bottom of it and a whole bunch of different versions will come up i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
make sure ur connected to the network
