I use firefox 2.0.0.20 on win 98 Second Edition and ......whenever i do a download....it does not download a files with correct file extension.......it does not even show the download progress........
use ctrl+j
This happens for everyone with everydownload firefox 2.0.0.20 browser on every system, on SOME sites.
Some sites don't tell how big the file is, so the browser doesn't really know how far it has come when downloading a file. Furthermore, some sites don't really tell the NAME of the file, so the bdownload firefox 2.0.0.20rowser just takes the nearest name.
So, is this is a problem with EVERY site or a specific site? If the latter then please give us the url. :)
go to options & thick mark which says "show download window"
